Tapir single-sided and double-sided adhesive tapes adhere well to most dry, clean and flat surfaces. If you wish to adhere it to a dirty or corroded surface, you must first sand it. |
|
1 |
Clean the surfaces to be joined with a Surface Cleaner product. Always move in one direction and in one movement. Always move in one direction and in a straight line. |

Apply the tape to one of the surfaces. Avoid as much contact as possible with both the adhesive side of the tape and the cleaned surfaces. Press the tape firmly with a protective sheet. Preferably use a roller when pressing. |

Finally, adhere the materials to one another. Gently remove the protective film. For better adhesion, press the materials well afterwards with a pressureroller. Always check and test the adhesive tape before using it for the intended application. |

Manufacturing tolerances |
|
These guidelines are a list of steps you should take to achieve the best possible end result and optimise the performance of the tape. Storage of the tape Acclimatise Ideal working conditions Primer Testing Final adhesive strength after 72 hours |
Manufacturing tolerances for cutting Water is used to cool the cutting blade. This may possibly leave ‘stains’ on the product but does not affect the adhesive properties. Manufacturing tolerances for laser die cutting Preferably supply punch part drawings in .DXF or .CDR file format. Laser cutting can leave a burning smell, discolouration marks on the edges or a minor dross adhesion on the liner. This does not affect the end result.
