3M ™ Lead Foil Tape 420 is developed as an electrically and thermally conductive tape, highly deformable and resistant to fire, moisture, weather, UV, chemicals and radiation. Together with the easily removable protective sheet, the tape is ideal for applications with complex shapes or for making punched parts for a more efficient production process.

Rubber adhesive layer in combination with the strong, durable carrier ensures a long life, but is still removable.
The dark silver 0.17 mm thick lead carrier has a green rubber adhesive layer that has a very good initial adhesion. The lead is a soft metal which is excellent to deform. Lead tape is electrically and thermally conductive and has excellent resistance to acids and bases. These properties make it ideal for galvanic applications such as radiation barrier or masking of X-ray plates. Due to its density and formability, the tape can be used for weighting and balancing, such as golf clubs, for example, which must be perfectly balanced for the best result.
