3M ™ ECATT 9703 is a pressure sensitive (PSA) transfer tape with anisotropic electrical conduction. The PSA matrix is filled with silver particles that allow interconnections due to the adhesive thickness (the z-axis) between surfaces.
Tape 9703 connects medium pitch flexible circuits electrically and mechanically to other flexible circuits (flex), hard circuit boards (PCB) or LCD screens. Electrically conductive tape 9703 offers good adhesion to common PCB substrates such as copper, gold, FR-4 epoxy, polyimide and polyester films. Stable electrical performance in a connection application between flexible circuits may require mechanical reinforcements (terminals).
