Tapes with thin backing
This thin tape is mainly used for joining, mounting and laminating different materials such as metal, plastic, wood, glass, paper and ceramics. On the one hand, the different performances are the result of the different thin transfer materials, and on the other hand, the result of different adhesive compositions. Other combinations are possible by using different adhesive types – strong/light adhesive – on both sides of the backing material. Read more
The glue compositions used for this thin tape are as follows:
- Synthetic rubber Features: very good initial adhesion, good shear strength on most materials and plastics with low-energy surfaces (PE, PP).
- Acrylate Characteristics: excellent final adhesion, very high ageing, temperature, UV and chemical resistance.
- Modified acrylates Characteristics: like acrylic, but good adhesion properties on low-energy materials and stronger initial adhesion.
