Available options
Different types of anti-slip tapes are available to meet the specific needs of companies and agencies:
- Finely resilient: This tape is mainly used in damp areas, such as shower rooms, on luxury pleasure yachts, wellness areas and changing rooms. The 3M Safety-Walk 200 series and Capra types 5 and 8 can be used for this.
- Medium resilience: Like the 3M Safety-Walk 200 series, this tape is mainly used in damp areas. Ideal for bare feet or light footwear. This tape has a medium grain size. The 3M Safety-Walk 300 series and the Capra types 15, 50 and 51 can be used for this.
- Conformable: These tapes can be applied to stairs, ramps, loading docks, platforms and irregular surfaces. The aluminum back adapts to corners and curves. The 3M Safety-Walk 500 series and Capra type 6 can be used for this.
- 4. Standard: This tape is mainly used on ladders, scaffolding, loading ramps and platforms, entrances, ramps, construction machines and other vehicles. Antislip tape for light to heavy pedestrian traffic. The 3M Safety-Walk 600 series and Capra type 1 can be used for this.
- Coarse: This tape with extra heavy abrasive grit is resistant to dirt, grease and oil. Suitable for agricultural and forestry equipment, road construction, civil engineering, trucks, tractors, cranes and construction sites. The 3M Safety-Walk 700 series and Capra type 2 can be used for this.
- Extra coarse: This Capra tape is unique because it is the coarsest antislip tape in the world. Capra type 2N is designed for heavy, industrial applications. The deep grain is resistant to harsh conditions and intensive use.
- Glow in the dark: This safety grip ensures that you are clearly visible day and night. Perfect for use on walkways, stairs, emergency exits and even around machines that can be passed in low light. Capra type 3 can be used for this.
R13 standard
R13 is the highest anti slip rating on the scale, with a very high slope angle. The R stands for the German word 'Rutsch' or slipping. The R-values are expressed on a scale from 9 to 13, with R13 being the highest anti slip capacity. The 3M Safety-Walk 600 and 700 series have an R13 value, as do the Capra types 1 and 2N.
