3M™ Extreme Sealing Tape 4411G is a gray, highly pliable, single-sided acrylic tape with a 1.0 mm thick, high-performance ionomer backing.

3M™ Extreme Sealing Tape 4411G is an ideal solution for sealing gutters and mechanical locks on the roof of commercial vehicles. This tape eliminates the need for large amounts of liquid sealants. It offers very high adhesion and can be used in a variety of challenging situations. This single-sided tape typically seals by covering existing joints or holes with tape, rather than sealing "between surfaces," as is typically done with double-sided tapes, gasket material, or liquid sealants/adhesives. The acrylic adhesive in this product is manufactured using the same technology platform as 3M™ VHB™ Tapes. This pressure-sensitive tape offers exceptional performance. The ionomer backing is very robust, yet flexible and abrasion-resistant. The conformable tape provides an effective seal around contours, edges, rivets, and screw heads. The thick acrylic adhesive is very soft, seals excellently, and is also very durable outdoors. The tape is specially formulated for high adhesion to the ionomer backing, allowing for an overlapping tape pattern for a strong and effective seal. The sealant is waterproof and adheres to a wide variety of surfaces upon contact without drying time, drips, or the need for cleaning.

The tape conforms to existing contours, edges, rivets, and screw heads. 3M Extreme Sealing Tape can be painted to match the substrate; strong adhesion in all weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, extreme temperatures). What are ionomers? Ionomers include any class of polymer materials composed of thermoplastic resins stabilized by ionic crosslinking. Some commercial applications for ionomers include golf club covers, semi-permeable membranes, sealing tape, and thermoplastic elastomers.
