Properties
Solvent adhesives consist of a solvent with an adhesive. When the glue is applied, the solvent disappears by evaporation or by being absorbed by the environment. The adhesive is then released and establishes the adhesive bond. Solvent adhesives are usually applied to both surfaces to be bonded. When the parts are pressed together after a short 'evaporation time', the adhesive bond is established.
