Sawing Rolls: Cutting Through Tough Materials

At Tapir Tapes, we saw, part or cut tape logs into custom widths with high precision. Sawing is used when the material is too solid or tough for traditional cutting techniques.

Why Saw Instead of Cut?

Cutting displaces material with a blade, whereas sawing removes material. We use sawing for hard, solid rolls like protective films where a traditional blade cannot penetrate effectively. To ensure optimal results, we apply tailored parameters for each product.

Benefits

  • Effective on hard or solid materials
  • Custom widths from 2 mm
  • Precision settings stored per product
  • Minimizes glue transfer and edge defects
