TAPIR sponsors the solo team from Twente

Solar Team Twente is a team of 16 ambitious and enterprising studens From Saxion and the Universiteit of Twente, with only one goal: winning the World Solar Challenge 2013.

Tapir21Connect5

A race of over 3000 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide across the Australian outback, in which only cars powered by solar energy participate. In order to win this competition in October 2013, the enthusiastic students from Twente will put their

studies aside for a year and a half to devote themselves fully to designing and building the best solar car.

TAPIR21Connect4Solar Team Twente will build a winning solar car in collaboration with a collective of a large number of partners from the business community, knowledge institutions and the government. This makes it one of the largest student projects in the Netherlands. Solar Team Twente has not gone unnoticed in the media either. The team already appeared in several regional and national newspapers and last year there was even a full RTL7 production.

Logo Solar Team TwenteSolar Team Twente, together with all its partners, is looking for a relationship in which both parties strengthen each other and can get the most out of the collaboration. By systematically analysing the problem, new opportunities are being discovered and specifically innovated, so that all parts in the solar car fit together perfectly.

Working together on top technology, that's what TAPIR and Solar Team Twente are doing with the sole aim of creating a winning striking red solar car, powerful in its simplicity with high-tech subsystems and materials, which excels in the field.
